Chocolate Crinkle Cookies
Rich and chocolatey with their signature crackled powdered-sugar tops, these cookies are soft, fudgy and hard to resist.
Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup granulated sugar
½ cup packed brown sugar
¼ cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup powdered sugar, for rolling
Instructions:
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt.
In a separate large bowl, mix the granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs and vanilla until smooth.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring just until combined.
Cover the dough and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Scoop the chilled dough and roll into approximately 1-inch balls. Generously coat each ball in powdered sugar.
Arrange the cookies on the prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the cookies have spread slightly and the signature cracks have formed on top.
Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
